A therapy intensive offers focused, uninterrupted time to dive into the core of your relational challenges - whether with a partner, family member, or co-founder. By trading months of "stop-and-start" weekly therapy for a single, concentrated deep-dive, you allow your nervous system the time it actually needs to slow down, process, and pivot.
The Intensive Advantage:
Momentum Over Maintenance: Weekly therapy often spends 20 minutes "checking in" and 10 minutes "wrapping up." Intensives eliminate the reset, allowing emotional shifts to build naturally and stick.
Efficiency for Busy Lives: Perfect for high-achievers with complex schedules or long commutes. You get the equivalent of 3–4 months of therapy in a single weekend.
Deeper Pattern Recognition: Sustained time allows us to move past surface-level bickering to the "underground" emotional blueprints that keep you stuck.
A "Safe Container" for Repair: Complex hurts and betrayal require more than 50 minutes to untangle. The extended format provides the safety needed to open, repair, and close a wound in one sitting.
Rapid Clarity & Relief: When a relationship is at a crossroads, you can’t wait months for an answer. Intensives provide the forward movement and relief required to make informed decisions now.

I work with couples and families in a practical, down-to-earth way that’s focused on clarity, movement, and meaningful change. Every relationship system is unique, so I tailor sessions to your goals, patterns, roles, and communication styles.
I draw from several approaches to help couples and families navigate challenges:
Emotionally Focused Therapy:
I support couples and families in expressing emotions safely, strengthening emotional bonds, and navigating conflict with empathy and responsiveness.
IFS / IFIO-informed:
I explore the different “parts” or inner voices each person brings into the relationship or family system, supporting greater understanding of reactions, roles, and choices—without blame or judgment.
Somatic techniques:
I incorporate gentle body-awareness strategies to help individuals stay grounded, regulated, and present during emotionally charged conversations.
All together, I bring curiosity, humor, and a direct style to sessions so the work feels focused, safe, and productive. My goal is for couples and families to leave with practical insight, clear next steps, and a stronger sense of direction.

Phase 1: The Pre-Intensive Intake
Done via Telehealth 1–2 weeks prior
The "Fit" Call (20 min): Ensuring the Intensive format can safely contain your current crisis.
Intake & Assessment: Comprehensive digital forms to map your history before we meet, saving us hours of "catch-up" time in person.
Day 1: De-escalation & The Relational Map
Focus: Lowering the heat and identifying the "Cycle”
The Deep Dive – Block I (3 hours): Guided discussion to identify the "Negative Cycle" (Pursuer-Avoidant patterns) and the immediate triggers keeping you stuck.
Extended Mid-Day Break (90 min): Time for a meal and nervous system regulation (walking the Truckee River or Midtown).
Individual Check-Ins (30 min each): Private time with each partner to explore "Internal Parts" and individual blueprints without the need for defense.
Integration – Block II (90 min): Bringing the individual insights back to the "We." Establishing a "Safe Container" for the rest of the weekend.
Day 2: The Core Work & Repair
Focus: Addressing "Internal Wholeness" and past hurts.
The Root Work – Block III (3 hours): Moving beyond surface arguments to address Betrayal Trauma, family-of-origin patterns, and the "why" behind the reactivity.
Extended Mid-Day Break (90 min): Integration time.
Repair & Reconnection – Block IV (2 hours): Structured exercises to practice new communication "maps," fostering closeness and radical acceptance.
Day 3 (Optional): Future-Proofing & Individuation
Focus: Actionable next steps and the "Transformed Life."
Consolidation Block (3 hours): Synthesizing the weekend’s shifts. We focus on how to maintain safety when you return to "real world" stressors.
The Action Plan (90 min): Defining boundaries, follow-up support, and concrete tools for the next 90 days.
Closing Ritual: A final exercise to solidify the shift from protection to connection.
Post-Intensive: The Integration Call
The 2-Week Check-In (50 min): A follow-up session to "fine-tune" the new patterns and ensure the momentum from the weekend is holding.

Cost is dependent on your individualized plan, but to give general estimates:
1-Day Intensive: $1,200-1,400
2-Day Intensive: $2,800 – $3,100
3-Day Intensive: $4,200 – $4,500
Weekly Rate: $225 per 50-minute session.
While the upfront cost of an intensive is higher than a single session, it is designed to be a catalystfor long-term change. Think of it this way: In traditional weekly therapy, we often spend the first fifteen minutes "checking in" and the last ten minutes "winding down." In an intensive, we bypass the small talk and dive straight into the deep-tissue work. A 3-day intensive can often accomplish what might take 6 months to a year of weekly 50-minute appointments.

Because of the high-touch nature of this work, all intensives begin with a complimentary 20-minute fit call. We will discuss your current relational goals, ensure the intensive format is the right "container" for your needs, and look at available Friday–Sunday dates.

Absolutely. Many couples choose to do an In-Person Intensive in Reno to jumpstart their progress and then transition to Telehealth in California or Nevada for monthly "maintenance" sessions. We can design a map that fits your specific location and schedule.
